:: The Empty Shell ::

Somewhere deep inside
There's a place where she can hide.
Somewhere she is all alone,
A place where feelings are all gone...

While in there there's no joy, and no pain.
There is no sunshine, but neither rain.
And it's all closed in, in her private shell,
All sealed so tightly to protect her from Hell.
It's not that bright, but it's also not that dark.
Some might not understand. She didn't at the start...
It all seems to be so right, but it feels way too wrong.
How can a person live somewhere she doesn't belong...?

Everything's outside, but she's too afraid to step out,
So she brings to this place, someone she can't live without.
Suddently she feels, when feelings were none,
And all the gray vanishes, everything but them is gone.
She stares at his eyes, leaving the world behind...
Finds a love so strong only in him she could find.
And, before she realizes, she is back outside...
And nothing else matters as long as he is by her side!
